Often there’s dilemma in the minds of smart phone users is the other platform any better? The answer is both a Yes and a No. Many people mistake that Android is way superior because of the customisation it offers, but it has it’s own set of shortcomings. Lack of any restricted downloads causing malicious downloads is a good example.

On the other hand iOS, though has limited customisation options it restricts any third-party downloads (External APKs and stuff). It offers a seamless user experience by way of cloud integration. Yes, Google does offer cloud support (Google Drive) but it not as effortless as the one that Apple offers. The way the data in iPad and iPhone integrates is just great.

Hardware wise it is the Apple which has an edge. Don’t get me wrong Android phones are no less inferior, but the Chipset and battery side of things is where the Apple devices outperform their Android counterparts by considerable margin.

Concluding, there’s never a clear cut winner here. Both Operating Systems are developed in a different manner for different sets of people. One should choose based on their Customisation , experimentation (I mean custom ROMs and stuff) needs.
